Fowey, Cornwall UK
Fowey on the S coast of Cornwall UK

On the south coast of Cornwall, set on a hill-side overlooking the picturesque mouth of the River Fowey and with its quaintly narrow streets, Fowey has lots of history and character. It is a working port visited by large cargo ships often to export china clay, but the jetties are up-stream hidden by a bend in the river. Over 6,000 small boats moor in the river each summer including many sailing craft.

The town really hums during the week of the regatta & carnival which includes fun for all the family. Two highlights are the visit of the Red Arrows Flying Display team and the fireworks.

The climate is mild, the area charming and tranquil.
