Perranporth, Cornwall UK

The three miles of magnificent golden beach contribute to the popularity of Perranporth and, although it is on the north coast of Cornwall uk it is only 10 miles or so from Truro on the south coast.

This is a family resort also popular with surfers and for sand yachting (out of season).

  • St Piran's Oratory - a famous ancient site now buried beneath the sand
  • Perran Round - an ampitheatre still with traces of tiers of seats where medieval plays were performed.
  • Namsmellyn Marsh Reserve - an educational wildfowl reserve managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust
