| Port Isaac is an unspoilt fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall north of Wadebridge. The beach is of shingle with working crabbers and the streets are narrow and twist and turn. Look out for Squeeze-ee-belly Alley. The sheltered fishing harbour dates from hundreds of years ago and up the coombe (valley) white painted houses sit on the steep hill-sides. Sit and watch, see the fishermen land their daily catch of lobster abd ncrab. In an area of outstanding natural beauty, some of the Poldark TV series was filmed here. |
