| Beer is a fishing village in East Devon between Branscombe
and Seaton with a popular,
interesting beach for the holiday maker. It is one of those places
where people return year after year.
A brook runs down the main street of this attractive and historic village which nestles between white cliffs and is famed for its lace making, stone and smuggling. The clean south facing beach has formally arranged deck chairs and mats, a real boon for push chairs over the pebbles. You might well see the launching and retrieval of the fishing boats kept on the beach or sailing dinghies from the local club. If you fancy fishing yourself, you will find that mackerel fishing trips and deep-sea fishing are available. Self drive motor boats
may be hired from the beach and if you would like to hire a beach hut,
try telephoning 01297 21416. |
