Dawlish, Devon UK
Pleasure boats leave from this part of the beach at dawlish devon uk
On the South coast of Devon, Dawlish is the place for those wanting a traditional family holiday at the seaside. With nearby Dawlish Warren it is one of the most popular resorts in the West Country.

It is well suited for exploring South and East  Devon and, if fresh air is what you need, Dartmoor is not far away. And, if like most people you come to Devon for its fine beaches you will want to visit Dawlish Warren.

A brook cascades through the flowers and palms of the popular gardens in the centre of the town and here you will see numerous water fowl including Black Swans.

The town has numerous shops, cafes, inns and restaurants, a theatre and a museum.

Road communications to this part of the West Country are good. If you come by train you will particularly enjoy the last few miles as the line is on one of the most attractive in the country between Starcross and Newton Abbot.
