| Shaldon is a beautiful seaside village on the South coast of Devon, at the mouth of the River Teign. It is full of picturesque cottages, has many good pubs, and two good restaurants. Shaldon is renowned for sailing and fishing, and has two good beaches, one of which is approached by descending a smuggler's tunnel. Should you be looking for other places to visit, the pleasant town of Teignmouth can be reached by a pretty little ferry, whilst Exeter and Torquay are only a short drive away.
