Sidmouth, Devon UK
Sidmouth Devon uk
On the coast of east Devon, Sidmouth is a dignified resort typified by the esplanade overlooking the clean pebble beach. At the western end is Jacob's Ladder which has a long stretch of firm sands at low tide and where children will enjoy exploring the rock pools.

Beautiful scenery, historic houses and charming villages are on the door-step.

Unwind by admiring the flowers and take an organised stroll around the town or along the river. The well kept Connaught Gardens with their high walls in a beautiful position by the sea are well worth a visit. Be aware though that Sidmouth busily vibrates during its festivals! The renowned Sidmouth International Festival of Folk Arts has over 600 events with its climax a torch-lit procession.
